Embed snippet
Two lines of code put the gallery inside any web page. The frame grows to fit the gallery, so visitors don't scroll inside a box. Admins copy the code, already filled in with your address, from Share it in the setup wizard.
On this page
The snippet #
<div data-missionary-lane="https://YOURCHURCH.missionarylane.org"></div>
<script src="https://YOURCHURCH.missionarylane.org/embed.js" async></script>
Replace YOURCHURCH.missionarylane.org with your gallery's address in both places. On a self-hosted gallery, or with your own address, use that address instead.
Options #
Add any of these inside the first line's <div …>:
| Attribute | What it does |
|---|---|
data-ml-view="walk", "list" or "map" | Opens that view first. |
data-ml-height="820" | The starting height in pixels. |
data-ml-title="Our missionaries" | Names the frame for screen readers. |
For example, a list that starts 900 pixels tall:
<div data-missionary-lane="https://gracechurch.missionarylane.org" data-ml-view="list" data-ml-height="900"></div>
<script src="https://gracechurch.missionarylane.org/embed.js" async></script>
Where to paste it #
| Platform | Where |
|---|---|
| Squarespace | Add a Code block, then paste the snippet. |
| Wix | Use Embed Code and choose Embed HTML. Wix wraps it in its own frame, so set its height to about 900 pixels. |
| Subsplash, Church Center and other builders | Any “Custom HTML” or “Embed” block. |
| WordPress | The plugin, or a Custom HTML block. |
| Any menu | Link straight to the gallery address. Nothing needs to be embedded. |
How it works #
- The script puts the gallery in a frame and listens for the gallery's height, so the frame grows to fit.
- It trusts that height message only when it comes from the gallery's own address.
- The gallery inside the frame is the same as the full site: visitors can walk, browse the list and open kiosks.
